Who Is The Programme For?
Less intensive than the camps, they are ideal for children who just need help to achieve a healthy weight or can be part of continued support.

They are for children aged 8 – 17 years old, who typically attend a 12 week course of sessions, each lasting 3.5 hours and are accompanied by their parents/guardians.

Parents take part in their own workshops and activity at the same time as the children’s sessions. This ensures the re-education process and healthy behaviours continue at home.

Children

The Clubs aim to put the fun back into exercise, so everyone will take part in physical activity from dodge ball to kick boxing. Club members learn about food choices through lifestyle sessions and share experiences and challenges with other young people.

Parents

Parents / guardians attend the sessions which include physical activities, dietary and lifestyle advice. We want to help parents to help their children. In fact, following the programme, parents lose weight too!

Follow Up

All children on our programmes receive three months of follow-up support via phone, text and email, as well as lifetime membership of our participants’ website. This includes access to all of our resources, as well as podcasts and social networking with other fellow Club members.

Highly Trained Staff

Our Clubs are run directly by CWM team or we will train local service providers through the Vocational Certificate in Weight Management to deliver the Clubs programme. The ratio is 1 member of staff to every 7 children, guaranteeing everyone receives dedicated, individual support.

Does It Work?

  • Lifestyle / Diet Education – Youngsters and parents are equipped with life skills and knowledge to adopt and continue healthy life patterns making small changes to make big differences.
  • Social Activity – Club members are encouraged to make friends, go on organised social events or simply relax with a cup of tea.
