Just like a car, your body needs to be kept in good condition to help it run smoothly. It needs the right balance of food and regular physical activity to help it run properly. In addition, try to follow these top tips:
Calories are key make sure you are keeping an eye on your calories.
Reduce your total fat intake, especially saturated fat intake.
Increase your intake of fibre-rich foods by keeping a fruit bowl out on the table and eating cereals for breakfast.
Reduce your sugar intake by limiting fizzy drinks and drinking water or diet drinks. Remember fruit juice still has calories.
Eat three reasonable meals and two healthy snacks each day.
Eating meals at the dinner table as a family can be a good opportunity to get together and share the day’s events.
